Outdoor enthusiasts understand the slogan Leave No Trace, referring to a set of ethics promoting conservation in the outdoors. Essentially, it means to conduct yourself in a way that no one would be able to tell that you were ever there.
In our personal and professional lives, we seek the opposite. Not only do we seek to leave a trace, but we want to leave a lasting impression. In the spirit of ethics though, we can at least agree that both ideals seek to make the world a better place, measured by the impact we leave.
